New at ISC 2010
International Buyers’ Day to Enhance International Suppliers’ Business
Berlin, 2 June 2009 - In order to further enhance the proven business and networking opportunities provided to aerospace suppliers exhibiting in the International Suppliers Center, an International Buyers’ Day will be introduced on June 9, 2010.
Supporting the industry along the supply chain, the International Suppliers Center ISC (June 8 - 10, 2010) has established itself as a must-to-attend platform connecting the capabilities of sophisticated suppliers with the buying power of the leading OEMs. As an integral part of ILA Berlin Air Show, this “show within a show” provides a perfect working, networking and information opportunity for OEMs, 1st tier suppliers and companies of the supply chain from around the globe.
Numerous OEMs and 1st tier suppliers such as Airbus, Eurocopter, As-trium, EADS Defence & Security Systems, MTU Aero Engines, AOA Appa-ratebau Gauting, Autoflug, Darchem Engineering, Diehl Aerospace, Ele-ktro Metall-Export, Grupo Aeronautico Zone Centro, Gurit, Leistritz, Lie-bherr Aerospace, LFK-Lenkflugkörpersysteme, Northrop Grumman Litef, Premium Aerotec, RECAERO, Rockwell Collins Deutschland, Rolls Royce, Rockwell Collins Deutschland, Wittenstein aerospace & simulation und ZF Luftfahrttechnik already confirmed the participation of their procurement experts.
The International Buyers’ Day will start at 10.00 a.m. with a 90-minute kickoff briefing. Renowned industry experts will provide first-hand infor-mation about the latest developments and industry-specific trends in pro-curement. Following the briefing, the procurement officers of the partici-pating companies will be available in the ISC to exhibiting suppliers for direct B2B talks the whole day through.
ISC-Exhibitors also enjoy the exclusive opportunity to establish contact and arrange appointments with the participating procurement officers in ad-vance. The ISC team offers active support in organizing appointments.
However, the social aspect of this business platform is likewise important. The program of the Buyers’ Day will therefore be complemented by an in-formal get-together and a boat trip on the river Spree in the early evening.
Registration for the Buyers’ Day is restricted to ISC exhibitors only. Participa-tion in the event is free of charge. The above service offered by the ISC team can be used immediately after exhibitor registration. Due to the lim-ited availability of appointment slots, an early online registration at www.isc-ila.de is highly recommended.
All the other ISC features including the ISC Forum, which exhibitors and visitors rated so favorably in previous years, will remain unchanged. By launching the International Buyers’ Day, the ISC 2010 will be an even more attractive information and communication platform within the aerospace supply chain. Embedded in the business activities of ILA Berlin Air Show, the International Suppliers Center is expected to once again attract more than 120,000 trade visitors in 2010.
International Suppliers Center ISC will be held from June 8 – 10, 2010 at the Berlin Schoenefeld Airport.
