Statements on the International Suppliers Center
 
>> EADS appreciates the establishment of the International Suppliers Center as an integral part of ILA. For the companies of the supply chain, the ISC is an excellent platform to get into contact with international OEMs and first-tier suppliers. On the other hand, OEMs are given the opportunity to intensify existing business relations and to get to know new suppliers. I am sure that those responsible for purchasing at EADS headquarters and in the various EADS divisions (Airbus, Military Transport Aircraft, Eurocopter, Defence & Security Systems and Space) will visit the ISC again and use the opportunities provided by the ISC for their specific tasks. << >> As the share of external services in our turnover is rising steadily, we are increasingly dependent on the reliability of the supply chain. The ISC is a forum which we can use to inform interested suppliers about the prospects and the requirements to be met by the supply chain. The aerospace market will become increasingly interesting for those companies which already supply qualified products to other sectors, the automotive industry, for instance. We thus appreciate the extension of ILA to include the ISC. Liebherr Aerospace will use the ISC to get to know such suppliers and to explore opportunities for future cooperation. << >> The success of the worldwide acting Rolls-Royce Group is largely based on close and reliable cooperation with our suppliers. The maintenance, development and transparency of our network are of particular importance to us. We thus appreciate the extension of the Berlin Air Show to include the International Suppliers Center and will willingly use the 2008 ISC to explore new opportunities for qualified expansion of our supply chain and for establishing new business contacts. << >> For us, the ISC at ILA Berlin Air Show is an excellent platform to present the know-how, which we as a medium-sized company have to offer, to an international audience. We have managed to establish ourselves as part of the large aviation industry family and were able to welcome high-ranking decision-makers to our stand, with whom we normally would not have any contact. The ISC is thus an excellent platform to strengthen our image as a supplier of highly complex components within the industry. <<
