In the “SPACE PAVILION” in Hall 9, ESA, DLR und BDLI will present current and future German and European space programs. Manned spaceflight (ISS, COLUMBUS, ATV), exploration (Moon, Mars) and space applications will be the central themes of the Space Pavilion.

As in 2006, numerous national and international space exhibitors will present themselves at their stands in the “SPACE WORLD” in Hall 9. We cordially invite companies, space agencies and organizations from all over the world to participate in the Space World in 2008 and to present, side by side with partners and competitors, their projects and products to a large specialist audience, the media, and the general public.

What is completely new is that the specialist public can expect its own, high-powered conference program in the new Space Conference Center in Hall 9.
On Wednesday, May 28, 2008, the “SPACE DAY” is to function as an information center and meeting place for making contacts for space experts from all over the world. Panels featuring top-flight international experts will elucidate national and international space developments. The Space Day will be held under the auspices of the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology, Mr. Michael Glos, and will be organized by ESA, DLR ad BDLI.
The “Earth Observation – Solutions for Decision Making” conference organized by DLR and BDLI, will round out the program on May 27 and May 28, 2008.
BDLI and the German Luftwaffe plan to jointly hold a “Nutzung des Weltraums für Sicherheit und Verteidigung” symposium on May 29, 2008.
The world of space “all under one roof”
With its “all-under-one-roof” concept, ILA Berlin Air Show 2008 will be presenting the entire range of space activities, products, services and programs in Hall 9. With an area of more than 2,500 sq.m. dedicated exclusively to spaceflight, ILA Berlin Air Show will once again be the largest space exhibition in Europe this year.
